The sounds of the deep mystical forests of northern Sweden, mixed with the pounding faceless screams of the big city. To understand Andreas DJ:ing you need merely to glimpse on the path that he has walked. Growing up in the little village of Fiskarheden with merely 100 inhabitant, far from any of the things that surrounds the big city life of the modern human. Andreas life was surrounded with nature, nature and more nature. Fishing became the number one activity at a early age but when being introduced to the sport of snowboarding his life took a radical turn. A turn that led him out of the safe surroundings of his native village and out in the world, a journey that took the now pro snowboarder to all the corners of the world in pursuit of mountain peaks, covered with white gold.
And that would probably still be the life of Andreas if it wasn’t for one tragic event that once again forced his life to make a sharp turn. While getting ready to compete in the first Olympic that welcomed snowboarders Andreas hurt his knee and was forced to put an end to his snowboarding career. It is around this time that he made his step into the world of electronic music. All that time in transit, on planes, in lobbies, traveling with only a music player as his companion landed him deep within the stories told in monotone music. After years of traveling he now re-connected with Dalarna, the landscape where he grew up. He bought himself a house by a lake which now works as the base from where his musical excursions takes place and it’s from these forests that he gets the energy to once again roam the globe.
Andreas DJ:ing can best be described as a mix of these two worlds. The silent landscape covered in green, blue and white mixed with the never ending experience of the life in transit. A melancholic groove from deep within just as suitable for an open air festival as a dark dirty club.
